Property Data Collection: Practitioner’s Guide

The purpose of this practitioner’s guide for property data collection is to provide an entry-level orientation to property data collection. While property data collection may be required for various purposes, the focus of this guide is to explain the tasks and to support property data collectors recruited to assist with valuations for the purposes of municipal rating.

This guide will lead the reader through the various elements required for property data collection. In addition, the reader will be taken through a series of practical exercises to assess their grasp of the theoretical content, as well as to provide them will the actual skill set to complete the tasks assigned to them as property data collectors.
